SLJ -Rosa Parks

Many years ago in the USA black people weren't treated fairly and had to sit in different places in buses.  One day Rosa Parks to move from her sit to let a white person sit down.  She said no because she thought it was unfair.  She was arrested and other black people thought it was unfair and they stopped using the buses.  After several months the boycott ended and everyone was allowed to sit anywhere they liked on the buses.

  1. Kia ora Renny,

It’s Leisha here from the Summer Learning Journey again! I hope you are having a fantastic summer break. We are looking forward to seeing more blog posts from you over the next week and a half! :)

Ka pai Renny! You have retold Rosa’s story really well. Can you believe she got arrested for refusing to give up her seat?! I like that you shared your thoughts about it being unfair. Why do you think it is unfair that this happened to her?

Another great post! Well done :)
