Planting Kōwhai Seeds

Today Me, Xanthe, Ben, Haki, Lincoln, and Louis planted Kōwhai seeds. There was 104 seeds. We had to put the seeds in egg cartons. Mrs Hickford soaked the seeds in water and napkins.  We had to fill the egg cartons with compost and then add the seeds. My favourite part was putting in the compost.  Next someone would put in some water.

  1. Hi Renny, I will have to show you the two kowhai trees we planted at our place when you were born. A friend from work had grown the tiny plants we put in from seed just like how your class have. The trees are probably taller than me now. I can't wait till they get even bigger and all the tui and bellbird visit. Love Mum
