Maths

For maths we made different shapes out of string.  Everyone at our table had to have at least one hand on the string.  We made a square, triangle, rectangle and a star. The star was the hardest one.  Everyone at my table had to use two hands to get the star. It was fun because we got to use string.

  1. Kia ora Renny,
Wow, it sure does sound like you had a fun and exciting maths lesson! Making different shapes out of string would have been a great way to learn about shapes, and it is awesome to hear how everyone participated by having at least one hand on the string.
Were your hands being used to make the points/corners of your shapes?
I noticed in your sheet of paper there is a cube as one of the shapes. Did you make the cube out of string? If so, how did it turn out?
How long was the piece of string that you used?
Did you use more than one piece of string to make the star?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
You have done a fantastic job, keep up the great work!
    Nga mihi
