Swimming

Today we had swimming sports.  I did 2 lengths free style, 1 length free style, 2 lengths backstroke and 1 length backstroke. We all did different races.  I found the 2 lengths free style hard and my legs were sore. I liked the 2 lengths backstroke best. We have not found out the results yet. Have you ever done swimming sports?

      

Symmetry

Today we learnt about symmetry.  We had to chose the symmetry in different car logos. There was reflective, rotational and translational. We had to put the lines of symmetry in the logos. Here it one of my car logos with symmetry. It is reflective. This means if you put a mirror on the line it would be the same on each side.   A BMW and a Mazda. A Mazda comes from japan.  A BMW comes from Germany.

Today we had Mrs Minehin come and show us how to make a picture of ourselvess using the polyline tool in google draw.  This is my portrait..

Treasure Map

For maths today we had to make a treasure map and mark were the treasure is. We had to make different signs for  different things.

PE

For PE today we did  T - ball.   How to play  T - ball. There is 2 teams, one team is fielding and the other team is batting. The person who is batting has to hit the ball and run to the first cone and if the ball is still being chased you run to the next cone. The fielders have to get the ball and throw it to the back stop to get the runner out.

Propagation Tunnel

In the propagation tunnel has 180 flax, 12 kowhai, 99 pittosporums, 5 coprosmas and 18 five fingers.  To make sure the plants grow we have to water them every day and make sure they all get sun light.

SLJ - My Favourite Game

My favourite game is a card game. It is called Go Fish.  Every player has 5 cards and the rest of the cards are in a pile facing down.  The youngest player starts. The youngest asks any player if they have a card that they have. If they that card they give it to the player and it is a pair If not the player says Go Fish and the person that asked  has to pick up a card from the pile in the middle. Then it is the next players turn.  You keep playing till there are no more cards left. The winner is the person with the most pairs.
