This week our word of the week is mayhem. Mayhem means a situation of great confusion or destruction.

Melted Wax Art

Our Clown Art

First we had to do a drawing of what our clowns would look like. I did a few drawings of my clown. Then we did the one that we would colour in. You could only do the clowns shoulders and head. The teacher and Jackie had to melt old crayons. We took turns at painting with the crayons. Once the crayons had melted we used  a paint brush to get the melted crayon. The melted crayon got put in to a  muffin tin. There were different colours to chose from. You could only do one strip with the paint brush before you had to put it in the tin again. You could only do one strip because if you did another strip it would come off. We had to do a border around the clown. My clown had a blue and green border. My clown had red hair.

If you did clown art what colour would you do for the head? I found doing the hat hard. It was fun doing the hair.

Runaway Land

  I made this picture on Pixlr Editor.  I have been learning to use Pixlr Editor. I found drawing the people hard. We had to chose a sentence out of our reading book to make a picture for it. My sentence is He needed his two favourite cousins, Lance and Vance who lived next door.

Vocab

The word of the week is vast. Vast means a huge bit of land that you can see for miles. We have been learning what vast means.

Reflection Term Two

I like reading, writing, and art because you use your imagination a lot. I think I am good at writing because I can describe  things that I do.  My next step in writing is to make sure I use comma’s and apostrophes.

I need to work on reading punctuation because reading sounds better with punctuation. In term 1 and term 2 I have got better at times tables and fractions.

I like art because you can paint, draw, and make cards. I also like art because you can choose different colours.

My favourite part of the term was when Mister Kinene taught us coding because it was fun looking for the different blocks.

 I  do not like doing Math Whizz because it is boring. It is boring because it’s not fun and repeats the same activity again and again.

Vocab

This week the word of the week is novice. Novice means a beginner or new to something. If you are new to something you would be novice. I just learnt what novice means.

Cross Country

 On Friday the whole school did cross country. We had to walk to the cross country course at the Morrison's farm. The Morrison's farm is not that far from our school. My family came to watch cross country. First we walked the course so we knew where to go. We had to wait till it was our turn to run. When it was my turn to run we lined up then off we went. We had to run down a paddock, turn the corner, go over a bridge, run till we got to another bridge, run up a hill run and along the top of the hill . Then we had to go down a hill and  sprint to the finish. I got wet socks because the ground was muddy and wet with puddles. I got first in my race. I felt good because I tried my best.
